The Little Divinity Class - Juhu
Planting the seeds of Righteous in every child.
Initiated in 2009, The Little Divinity Class is a humble endeavour to introduce children to the timeless wisdom of Sanatan Dharma and nurture in them the values that form the foundation of a meaningful and virtuous life.
Since its inception 20 years ago, the initiative has reached out to over 1000 children. Children are introduced to our rich spiritual heritage in a joyful and engaging manner, through Vedic Shlokas, Stotrams, Mantras, value-based stories, meditation and creative activities. Festivals and celebrations further help them experience our rich tradition and understand its deeper significance. Besides learning chants, the emphasis is on nurturing qualities such as gratitude, discipline, compassion, humility and devotion.
The vision is simple yet profound — to sow the seeds of spirituality and discipline at an early age, so that these values remain with children throughout their lives. For we believe that nurturing the divinity within every child is our way of shaping a more conscious, compassionate and value-driven generation.
DIVINE CHAMPS
Where Young Hearts Connect with Divinity, Embrace Traditions, and Grow with Values.
This is an initiative started in Bharuch for inculcating Spiritual, Cultural and Value-Based Learning among children and young adults under the Guidance and Blessings of the Acharyas of Param Praman Darshan Ashram, Pardi, Valsad.
Our Vision and Purpose:
The vision of Divine Champs is to provide children with a joyful and enriching environment where spirituality meets creativity, tradition meets learning, and values become a natural part of our lives.
Activities:
Various activities have been designed for children between age 5 and 15 years with the aim of creating spiritual awareness, strengthening cultural roots, and instilling the timeless values and traditions of our Sanatan Dharma from an early age.
A diverse range of activities are carried out to make learning meaningful, joyful, and engaging for children.
These include:
1. Vaidik Mantrochara: The chanting of the sacred Vedic mantras are taught in a traditional manner to develop concentration, discipline, devotion and spiritual awareness.
2. Vaidik Activities: Children are introduced to traditional Vedic practices such as pujas for the various Devi-Devatas during the corresponding festivals.
3. Devotional Bhajans: Singing of bhajans are taught with proper rhythm to cultivate devotion and a connection with the Divine, recognising the importance of musical activities with group singing in chorus to create the proper ambience and enthusiasm.
4. Festival Celebrations: Celebrating festivals such as Mahashivaratri, Ganesh Chaturthi, Janmashtami, Navaratri etc. to help children understand their spiritual and cultural significance and experience the joy of our traditions.
5. Creative Traditional Activities: Engaging children in hands-on activities such as making idols, decorating traditional lamps (diyas), and other art and craft activities inspired by our culture and heritage.
6. Mythological and Spiritual Storytelling: Narrating inspiring stories from our Puranas, epics, and scriptures to introduce children to our devi-devatas, great personalities, moral teachings, and cultural heritage.
Outcome:
All the above activities help in the inculcation of traditional values such as respect for god, teachers and elders, compassion, gratitude, discipline, kindness, humility, and devotion. Further, the children develop confidence, creativity, learn teamwork, positive thinking, and a sense of responsibility while remaining connected to their spiritual roots.
